Cassandra completed her MEng in Chemical Engineering at Loughborough University in the summer of 2023. She was a Net-Zero Engineering intern at Thames Water before joining the Aarts lab in October 2023. While at Loughborough University, Cassandra worked with the Particle Microfluidics Group on her MEng project, during which she produced highly monodispersed microparticles, biopolymer patchy Janus particles and encapsulated drugs using flow-focusing microfluidic devices. This project has applications in particle stability and controlled drug delivery.
Currently, Cassandra is conducting research on non-aqueous dispersions in collaboration with Syngenta. In her free time, she enjoys photography, playing basketball, listening to rock music performed on cellos, and exploring different languages.
Research Interests:
Improving non-aqeuous dispersions for agrochemical applications.
