Alex joined the Aarts group this year as a part II student after completing the first part of her undergraduate course at St Hugh's College. Her part II project focuses on colloid synthesis and analysis. During this project she visited Prof. Roel Dullens group in Radboud University, Nijmegen where she learned TPM (3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate) Core-Shell colloidal particle synthesis. Currently, she is using these particles to measure the interparticle interactions.
